In 1993, L-Mart Exclusive Wicker/Cane Furniture commenced the manufacture of wicker furniture. This was the brainchild of Ms. Violet Lall. This youthful looking mother of three ended up breathing new life into the local wicker furniture industry. She came up with the idea that her company could turn out better products made from local nibbi and kuffa. This idea is now a reality. After seven years in designing, manufacturing and sales on the local and overseas market, L-Mart is now set for take off.

During the short history of L-Mart Exclusive Wicker/Cane Furniture, the company has been the recipient of two prestigious awards: the Guyana Manufacturing Association (GMA) Award and the Caribbean Authentic Seal Award (Caribbean Export Development Agency).
